Coach
Stephanie Burkett
Stephanie Burkett’s passion grew for skating from the first time she set foot on a frozen pond at 4 years old in her brother’s oversized skates. Stephanie grew up skating in Jefferson City on an outdoor rink, and spent summers skating in St. Louis and Kansas City. Stephanie has always preferred performing for audiences over competing in front of judges, and has directed several ice shows throughout her skating career. She loves watching young people discover their passion for the sport, whether it be for recreation or training as an elite athlete. She has been coaching since she was 16 years old and looks forward to the day when she can teach her grandchildren to skate.

Coach
Jennifer Compton
Jennifer Compton has been coaching skating for over 20 years. As a competitive figure skater training at the World Arena in Colorado Springs, she built a strong foundation and love for the sport and now enjoys helping athletes improve not only their skating skills but their fitness level. "I believe in establishing trust with each athlete to balance the positive and negative aspects of learning. The more fun a skater has, the faster they will learn". When she's not on the ice, Jennifer can be found on the lake enjoying time with family and friends.

Coach
Chelsea Candanedo
Figure skating has been a passion of mine for several years. I skated from age three - 13, landing a double axel, competing at the National level and have a wide variety of medals (and video-taped competitions if you can believe it)! I picked the sport back up 16 years later, after some life-lessons, College and a marriage! Line Creek is the rink it all started for me, and I love the chance to get to coach and inspire the same 'little Chelsea's' that walk through our doors today!

Coach
Madeline Mudd
“When I was in the 4th grade I went to my first public skating session at Line Creek, and a year later I started the Learn To Skate program. I have grown up here, and Line Creek is my home! Since I started skating later in life, I love returning the favor to mature beginners! January 2022 is my 5th year coaching Learn To Skate, and I love it because I enjoy seeing the excitement on skaters faces when they master a new skill, or they have that moment when it just “clicks”! A fun fact about me is I still compete as an Adult skater on the KC Illusion synchronized skating team! Outside of skating, I love experimenting with makeup, working out, and I also volunteer at a local animal shelter, KC Pet Project- you’ll always find me with the cats!”
